Dark View of the Pine treees
By Elizabeth Gable
In selecting deep hues of black and blue, I wanted to capture the essence of mist atop the lake. This watercolor painting, "Dark Lake View", became a reflection for my emotions. The color palette embraced the mystery of the fog rolling in. Deep Payne's Gray mingle with light tones of green and blues, creating a backdrop that echo the quiet secrets hidden in the heart of the outdoors. I attempt to capture the dance of reflection on the water's surface of this moody scene. Watercolor is a medium of fluidity and unpredictability. Embracing the imperfections is a part of the process. Blooms and gradients emerged organically, adding a touch of unpredictability to the otherwise deliberate strokes. painting; it's a journey into the tranquility of the world. May it evoke a sense of peace and wonder, inviting you to lose yourself in the serenity and darkens the engulfs us from time to time.
